One BROADWINGED HAWK (the first I have seen this year), a subadult BALD EAGLE (white head and very pale tan tail) and a handful of TREE SWALLOWS against a bright blue spring sky formed a mini kettle very low overhead a mile upstream from Riley's Lock, C and O Canal, Montgomery County this afternoon at 5:15 pm.  Kingfishers and Lousiana Waterthrushes heard.
