Was out counting Woodcock on the refuge this evening.
Had a few Woodcock amongst the Barred and Great Horned Owls.
The high lite though was our first Whip-poor-wills. There were 3 of us that 
 heard
at least a single bird from 2 different locations. This beats my earliest  
Whip by at least a week.
