Hi all,

Made a brief stop at Lake Needwood in Rockville; a single Northern Rough winged Swallow was sitting on a branch at Needwood Road bridge.  Chipping Sparrows were singing at the archery range, and a single Killdeer occupied the mudflats.  Also had a Brown Thrasher and Northern Mockingbird.
There looks like a lot of future construction going on at Lake Needwood, I don't know if it is
ICC related or not. A lot of survey markers, and some equipment in the woods, where the Eastern Bluebirds used to hang out. Birding probably won't be productive for awhile.
The ICC construction has 'muddied' the headwaters of Lake Needwood as well.
