This evening I was sitting on the deck watching the sunset and listening to the birds. The chipping sparrows, titmouse and chickadees seem to be the noisiest tonight.
I am still seeing a few White Throat Sparrows but the Juncos have disappeared. After their absence all winter I am hearing and seeing Pine Warblers too. Previous winters I had a couple of Pine warblers stick around.
Tonight I was also watching the Black and Turkey vultures landing and taking off from the watershed trees next to the driveway when I noticed about five Great Blue herons flying around. The Herons all landed in the trees near the vultures. This is the first time I noticed a group of herons land in the trees next to my house.

Off topic I got back from a wonderful 10 day trip to Costa Rica and saw some awesome birds. If you would like to see some of my bird photos here is my flicker link.
