An Appalachian subspecies (alticola) of Blue-headed Vireo caught my ear this morning, then came over to the kitchen window for a better look - for both of us.  Over the last four days I have heard Louisiana Waterthrush, Yellow-rumped Warbler, both Kinglets and Blue-gray Gnatcatcher.  I guess spring has come to Upper Watts Branch Park.
