Here is today's bird list at Blue Mash.  If I forgot a 
species, please e-mail me.
It was a chilly gloomy day, but 8 of us showed up.  Next 
week we will surely have better luck at Pennyfield.
 
Canada goose
Mallard
Turkey vulture
Mourning dove
Red-bellied woodpecker
Northern Flicker
Tree swallow
Blue jay
Fish Crow
Tufted titmouse
Blue-gray gnatcatcher
Eastern bluebird
American robin
Northern mockingbird
European starling
Northern Cardinal
Eastern towhee
Field sparrow
Savannah sparrow
Song sparrow
White-throated sparrow
Red-winged blackbird
Brown-headed cowbird (5 or 6 males at the top 
of a small tree vying for the favors of 1 
female)

We crossed two ditches filled with shallow water.  
Both were filled with many thousands of tiny black tadpolls!
