One more Surf Scoter dropped in a while later to make 8. It landed some 
hundreds of yards away and eyed the group of seven, but did not join them.
 
My previous highest total for DC and Montgomery County, over the last 35 
years, is 4 at Violettes Lock October 18, 1997.
