Hi all,
I did some birding on the Eastern Shore the past two days. I
started the day on Friday listening for turkeys at dawn in Queen
Anne's County with Jim Green. We then made a whirlwind tour of most of
the counties on the Eastern Shore over the next 36 hours. We were
often joined by other birders. Some of the main highlights were Stilt
Sandpiper on Kibler Rd in Caroline (spotted by Jim), Short-billed
Dowitcher on Shilo-church Rd in Dorchester (from Dan Small), and
Cattle Egret in Caroline and Talbot seen from Kingston Landing (Bill
Hubick). Some other highlights (skipping many spots with no new birds)
follow. All FOYs refer to me only.
