Location: Oxbow Lake
Observation date: 4/23/10
Notes: Jay Sheppard visited the Little Patuxent Oxbow Lake Nature Preserve
earlier this morning, and then I joined him around 4pm for another look. He had
the COMMON YELLOWTHROAT this morning and found the BLUE-HEADED VIREO this
afternoon. The water in the lake seems to be rising as the mudflats are
diminishing a bit. The beavers haven't repaired their old dam, so we are
investigating possible new construction.
