Spent a wet, yet productive hour or two tromping around the impoundment at Swan Harbor in Oakington, Harfrod County. An bbbridged list follows:

Impoundment Birds:

Great Blue Heron
American Bitterm (at least three)
Sora (many; some seen at least three vocalizing spontaneously -no tapes used)
Blue Winged Teal (6)
Green-winged Teal (20)
Mallard (4)
Canada Goose (10)
Greater Yellowlegs (3)
Least Sandpiper (2)
Wilson's Snipe (dozens; many flushed every 20 yards around impoundment perimeter)
Tree Swallow (20+)
Northern Rough-winged Swallow (10+)
Barn Swallow (5 or so)
Savanah Sparrow (1)
Song Sparrow (2)
Swamp Sparrow (1)
Red-winged Blackbird (a gazillion)
Field Sparrow (3)

In the woods aproaching the fields there so many White-throated Sparrows that their song was defening...

Looking forward to next weekend!
