I awoke this morning to the songs of an Ovenbird and a Worm-eating Warbler in the back yard. There were also snippets of muttered songs of possible Black-throated Green and Black-and-white Warblers. Later in the morning, after I reluctantly got out of bed, A Baltimore Oriole sang across the street. Finally at 5 PM a Wood Thrush scolded back in the woods behind the house. Some sunshine could unleash lots of song tomorrow or Wednesday.
