Hi Everyone,
Tonight (26 April 2010) after our Tri-County Bird Club meeting, Carol Broderick, Chris Dominick, Mike Walsh, and I did some listening at Ellis Bay WMA from 9:30-10:45. Calm conditions, mostly overcast with a few sprinkles, moon nearly full (behind the clouds). The marsh was quiet overall, but a few birds "spoke up":
American Bittern--1 booming at a fair distance
Black-crowned Night Heron--2
Virginia Rail--1
Chuck Will's Widow--3
Seaside Sparrow--1
Have fun,
Ron Gutberlet
