Hi Everyone,

I received the following from Brad Lanning regarding shorebirds at a flooded field on Route 66 south of Cavetown in Washington Co. In particular, the Pectorals are a tough species in the county. Brad, can you send me directions from the nearest intersection? Or maybe Hans can post? I know the field, but not the closest intersection.

Pectoral - 7
Solitary - 3
Spotted - 2
Semipalmated [not sure which- 1
Blue-winged Teal - 2
Lesser Yellowlegs - 5

Brad: "These were all found at the driveway were the SBDO were, the habitat is the best I've seen for the county - good luck, park at the gate along the fence also you can easily view from the driveway itself. This is the second day for the pecs, maybe they will stick for a bit!

4 Great Egrets - yesterday at Stilt Sandpiper pond, lots of Spotted and Solitary everywhere!! Someone else needs to see the shorebirds, totally an awesome spectacle with the Pectorals!!"

Good birding,

Bill
