Hi all

I awoke to the sound of a Black-and-white Warbler singing in our suburban yard this morning (just inside the beltway and east of 29). Also a few brief and distant phrases of what sounded like Blue-headed Vireo song. A Gray Catbird was lurking in the undergrowth - silent, except for the occasional "chek" call.

Last night, after my jog along Sligo Creek, I returned to my car and looked up to see two Yellow-crowned Night-Herons changing guard at their nest in the branches high above. Chimney Swifts were also out in force.

Cheers

Stephen
