Hi Folks,

I did a survey of Swan Creek this morning (AA Co. near Key Bridge) and
was able to find the SEASIDE SPARROW (singing!) and four MARSH WRENs
(not singing!) reported by Joel Martin yesterday. I also surveyed the
woodland areas surounding the wetlands (not accessible to public) to
find no warblers, but a fine BLUE-HEADED VIREO instead. Waders are
increasing in numbers with GREAT BLUE HERON (4), GREAT EGRET (1),
SNOWY EGRET (1), LITTLE BLUE HERON (3 adults), and GLOSSY IBIS (2).
There was only one bird at the dredge cells while I was there--a lone
CASPIAN TERN.

After returning home, I made several circuits of our yard, and was
thrilled to find a very vocal NASHVILLE WARBLER in our hemlock trees.
The HOUSE WRENs are back for the season, and competing with the
Carolina Wrens to see who can be the loudest.
