Jeff Culler and I made two attempts for the White-faced Ibis in Snow Hill today. Arriving at 8:30 am there were lots of shorebirds but no Ibis's of any kind. We did have a Stilt Sandpiper. We returned at 1:30 pm and there were 121 Ibis's present. After one hour of searching and the birds moving closer, we finally found 1 White-faced Ibis. We had been joined by Jen Elmer and Carol Broderick. The birds were actively feeding and we had lost track of it when we left at 3:00 pm.
Our complete list is below.
Thanks to Ron Gutberlet and all who have posted about these birds.
