Talbot Birders and others -

          Between 8:30 and 9:30 this morning the following were calling
along Copperville Road to the east of the intersection with Martingdale
Lane:

          FOY Species (for me):

                   White-eyed Vireo

                   Rose-breasted Grosbeak

                   Wood Thrush

                   Catbird

                   American Redstart

                   Great Crested Flycatcher

 

          Others included:

                   Common Yellowthroat

                   Yellow-rumped Warbler (beautiful male so brightly marked
that I hardly recognized him)

                   Black-and-white Warbler

 

          Back home there was a FOY Least Tern fishing over Leeds Creek.
Earlier in the morning there had been a FOY Eastern Kingbird in one of our
walnut trees.

 

                   About 20 Goldfinch have decided to see how long I will
keep putting out the thistle seed.  This is the most that I have had since
days of the big snows.

                   Yesterday a female (or perhaps juvenile) Ruby-throated
Hummingbird visited our feeder.
