Hi all,

Prodded around Lake Needwood late this morning; water level is getting good for shorebirds, and I had nice views of Solitary and Spotted Sandpipers in the upper area of Needwood bridge.  The Solitary was trying to catch small crawfish, and dropping them, probably too big a meal.   A Bald Eagle flew over, and then an Osprey and few minutes later. The Osprey had a BIG bass in its talons, so I know it was wary of the eagle.
Afterward, I stopped Shady Grove Rd ponds, and found 2 Pied billed Grebes on the water.
