Hi all,
Dropped into Hughes Hollow this morning to pad my county list, but the Snowy Egret was not around; although it was VERY birdy. Talked with birding guru Jim S. for a few minutes;
I ventured to Little Bennett based on Jessica B 's directions and found the Common Raven family. I stayed all of a few minutes and left, as I knew the parents were in the vicinity and wanted to feed their young. One of the young Ravens kept hopping from branch to branch, eying me curiously.
Since I don't bird much up county, I was amazed and disappointed by the amount of development, but Little Bennett was also birdy with warbler song, and I got good looks at a
Prairie and Yellow Warbler. Didn't have time to bird: gotta GO to WORK.
