Weather:
Sunny becoming mostly cloudy; 59-72 degrees; fair visibility with haze;
winds light and variable
Raptor Observations:
A Peregrine Falcon stooped in the distance. Several minutes later it flew
low over the pond with a bird in its talons.
Non-raptor Observations:
A Common Raven, third record for the Park. It was first sighted with two
Bald Eagles which helped to judge its size. It was last seen heading west,
(toward Bill Hubick's house).

Site Description:
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at
the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best
winds are from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays. |
