Very good birdwalk at Milford Mill Park this morning. There were the usual
resident species that are always good to see; but there were also some very
nice migrants that entertained the four of us who took this hike.
We saw and/or heard: Multiple Red-eyed Vireos & Blue-headed Vireos, a
White-eyed Vireo, both male and female American Redstarts, lots of
Yellow-rumped Warblers, a couple of Blue-Gray Gnatcatchers, and a busy but
singing White-throated Sparrow.
The highlight though was the long and excellent looks at the Barred Owl as
he maintained his vigil over his territory.
All in all, a fine morning.
