The first Saturday of every month, Prince George's Audubon sponsors a
field trip at the Fran Uhler Natural Area. The location is in Prince
George's County, along the Patuxent River adjacent to Bowie State
University.

tally, including a few species seen before the official starting time,

migrants -- Myrtle Warblers, White-throated Sparrows, Cormorants,
Laughing Gulls, and
The highlight was not a first of season but will probably be my last of
season, a single, RUSTY BLACKBIRD in one of the wetlands near the end of
Lemons Bridge Road. Another late bird, though probably nesting in the
area, was a Brown Creeper.
The resident species were the stars with seven species of warblers,
three vireos, Wood Thrushes, Scarlet Tanager and Indigo Buntings
conspiring to make it a colorful trip.
