Thanks to a tip from Jim Stasz, I found a Whip-poor-will in southern Talbot county last night (just after midnight).   It was on Windy Hill Rd just south of the intersection with Bruceville Rd.  

Earlier in the evening, the most vocal rail on Elliott Island Rd was a Black Rail (calling spontaneously).  I also heard a Least Bittern and a Sora.
