Sorry but this post is a tad belated. 

On Monday, 3 May, I had to travel way down-range here at work (APG, Edgewood, Harford County). Knowing that I would be going through at least four distinct habitats, I grabbed the binoculars and decided to take my time traveling from my office to J-field at the southern tip of Gunpowder neck. While the migrants were not as thick as I had hoped –due to the mid afternoon hour, I did run into a few pockets of nice birds. Highlights were FOY Yellow-billed Cuckoo and at least 8 Scarlet Tanagers all within the same one acre stand of mature hardwood. Two of these tanagers, a pair, I witnessed, uh… errr… -making baby tanagers (A first for me)

BTW- I have had a (the same?) immature male Orchard Oriole singing outside my office since Monday –it continues today…
