This morning was only my second time birding at Swan Harbor--I'm not sure where to go, but I took the obvious loop around the marsh that's by the entrance road.

For me, the neatest bird: 2 MARSH WRENS, singing their cheerful song. Another mystery bird: I spooked what looked like a big rail--it flew up then quickly went down. I didn't catch any sounds.

Other birds: sora, greater yellowlegs, lesser yellow, least sand, semipalmated sand, snipe, bw teal. Warblers mainly in wooded/creek area at entrance: louisiana waterthrush, parula, c yellowthroat, ovenbird--yellow w. in marshy area. Also gc flycatcher, wood thrush.
