The cold weather combined with bright sunshine on the east-facing wood edge finally brought the birds that have been dispersed throughout the neighborhood to one place, the open field at Princeton and Fordham.  John Hubbell and Jim Moore joined Pat Scheid and me for a good show of migrants feeding on the only active insects in the area.

Northern Parula 4
Yellow Warbler
Chestnut-sided Warbler 4
Magnolia Warbler 3
Cape May Warbler
Black-throated Blue Warbler 2
Yellow-rumped Warbler 2
Black-throated Green Warbler
Blackburnian Warbler
Blackpoll Warbler (there was a fallout of these birds yesterday morning in FL - it isn't over)
Black-and-white Warbler
American Redstart 5
Northern Waterthrush
Common Yellowthroat
Scarlet Tanager 3
Rose-breasted Grosbeak female
Baltimore Oriole female

These numbers could be off by a wide margin as it's hard to tell if the birds are moving through or moving around.
