During a two hour walk along the C&O Canal between MP 72 and 74 this morning, Nancy and I saw a male Bay-breasted and eleven other warblers, including lots of Blackpoll's and a Canada.
I have not seen a Bay-breasted in several years, so this was a real treat for us. We also had a hen Wood Duck with 14 chicks. We also had five species of swallows feeding over the river.
