I'd been biting my tongue somewhat since I've never been to Cromwell
Valley Park. But as bicycle is a primary means of transportation for me
(where commuting is concerned) I figured that I'd pipe up (and James asked).

As a matter of practicality more than preference, I do most of my
birding "on" bicycle. It also allows me to cover more ground in the
short time I often have available. When I'm birding on the trail I take
to campus, I generally don't mind bicyclists and runners passing by me.
On occasion there'll be a scooter or motorcycle abusing the trail (not
intended for motor vehicles) and that I do find upsetting.

So, my personal perspective is that, provided "traffic" is little to
modest, it's not an issue (and in my case a good thing as I can bird more!)

Good Birding,
