Hi Folks,

Bill Hubick and Ed Carlson joined me at Oxbow Lake on Wed. afternoon
to enjoy the largest variety of shorebirds any of us had ever seen in
one place in Anne Arundel Co. We had a total of ten species
highlighted by six SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHERs (two possible
hendersoni--very good red color, the others griseus). The complete
list of shorebirds:

Killdeer--2
Spotted Sandpiper--1
Solitary Sandpiper--2
Greater Yellowlegs--2
Lesser Yellowlegs--29
Semipalmated Sandpiper--1
Least Sandpiper--7
Dunlin--1
SB Dowitcher--6
W. Snipe--3

Also of note was a lone AMERICAN COOT (getting late in the season).
