The Mourning Warbler at Schoolhouse Pond in Upper Marlboro reported Fri by Jeff Shenot was still present the next day, singing lustily from dense vegetation near the turn-off for the platform. A rail-like grunt was also heard from the marsh, but only once. Several Redsatarts were also calling, my belated FOY's.

This AM at Ferry Landing in Dunkirk, we were delighted to spot a rare (for here) spring migrant, a Magn. Warbler; also heard were N W'thrush, signature Yellow-thr Warbler, and Balto Oriole, along with common summer residents.

The marsh at North Beach had many shorebirds - 20 L Sandpipers, 7 Semi-palm S'pipers (unusual there), 2 Gr Y'legs, S-b Dowitchher, 2 Spotted S'pipers, 3 Semi-palm Plovers; also 7 Snowy Egrets and FOY Least Terns.
