Hi all,

Had a great morning out in
Susquehanna SP, my first time there! My girlfriend, Amanda, and I saw or heard
74 species during the morning including 17 species of warbler. Many were FOY
for us including Bay-breasted, Magnolia, Chestnut-sided,
 Canada,
Blue-winged, and Kentucky Warbler. We had excellent views of all. We also had great
views of Swainson’s Thrush, Prothonotary and Blackpoll Warblers, which seemed
to be just everywhere. Also of interest were several pairs of Orchard and
Baltimore Orioles, Scarlet Tanagers, Warbling Vireos, lots of Cedar Waxwings, Rose-breasted
Grosbeak (female), a Barred Owl, 4 Bald Eagles, including one adult perched in full view
over the creek, and a Caspian Tern. One of the best finds of the day was a
Gray-cheeked Thrush (most likely the aliciae subspecies) found at the
campground. Full list is below.
