It was still there this (Monday) morning.

I arrived at the area around 7:30am, having found the picnic parking lot locked and having had to park elsewhere and hike in. The only obvious birds around the bridge were Blackpolls and Acadian Flycatchers. I played a recording, very briefly and very softly, and had no response. About five minutes later I noticed what I assumed to be a Common Yellowthroat working low in a dense Multiflora Rose but decide to look anyway and was pleased to have an excellent view of the handsome male MOURNING WARBLER. It flew and I followed its movement in vines for a few minutes but did not see it again and never heard it.

I did not tally all the species found by the pros yesterday, but still saw and heard many. There were at least two ALDER FLYCATCHERS calling in the Forest Retention area near the Mourning Warbler spot, and four YELLOW-BREASTED CHATS.

I was in the park for four hours and I don't think I was ever out of earshot of singing (shrieking) BLACKPOLLS.
