I paid an all-too short visit to Hains Pt this morning, starting at the maintenance yard and working my way up the Potomac Side. There were possibly as many as 3 singing ALDER FLYCATCHERS at various points on the golf course, one near the fence at the S end. A Traill's Fly seen near there might have been one of them. Also a very vocal and cooperative GRAY-CHEEKED THRUSH first noted by song, about half way up on the Potomac River side with another heard calling a bit further up.
Other migrants which are passing through included Scarlet Tanager, many Blackpoll, a single Myrtle Warbler, Northern Waterthrush, Swainson's Thrush and a Spotted Sandpiper at the end of Hains Pt.
Seemed like there was a lot there this morning
