Hi all,

Today at lunch, Dave Ziolkowski and I birded around the Cenral Tract of PWRC
very near rte 197, this area is closed to the public, but due to its close
proximity to the visitors center I thought some birds would be worth
mentioning. The highlight of the break was a PHILADELPHIA VIREO that
showed very well. Dave first spotted the bird as it flew in overhead, as it
got closer we realized what it was. We were able to relocate it (and a few
more migrants) a couple of minutes later with Danny Bystrak, some other
migrants in the vicinity were CANADA, BLACKPOLL, MAGNOLIA, and YELLOW-RUMPED
WARBLERs. We also heard one ALDER FLYCATCHER calling from some open scrub
habitat.

Photos of the vireo (and of the Bicknell's Thrush from Sunday) can be seen

Good Birding!
