Hi all,

Went out birding this morning, and I too agree that the warbler mania has past. I only found 3  warblers in my 2hr hike: Lou. Waterthrush, American Redstart, and Northern Parula. Last weeks Swainson's Thrushes have left also.
Many species are nesting or feeding young and have become reclusive. The noisiest of the bunch are 2 Purple Grackles feeding their demanding fledglings.
I do have a House Wren that is singing up a storm in the back yard.

Red eyed Vireo  4
Ruby throated Hummingbird 1
Scarlet Tanager  1 (sang a few notes)
Wood Thrush 3
Carolina Wren  2
Down Woodpecker  4 (2 young fledged birds)
Red bellied Woodpecker
Hairy Woodpecker  2
Red tail Hawk  1
American Robins
House Sparrows
Blue gray Gnatcatcher
Song Sparrow (feeding 2 cowbird young)
Brown headed Cowbird
House Finch
Turkey Vulture  1
American Goldfinch
Purple Grackle
White breasted Nuthatch
Northern Cardinals
Great Blue Heron  1
