The Common Moorhen was seen again at Hughes Hollow this morning as late
as 9 AM. It was swimming on the left-hand side of the main dike towards
the back, where the family of Hooded Mergansers has been hanging out.

The eight Semipalmated Plovers I reported last weekend at Summit Hall
Turf Farm were still there today (at least I assume they are the same
birds). Surprising they would linger so long. Only other shorebirds were
one Killdeer and two distant peep so obscured by heat haze while I was
there that they could not be identified.

Good birding!
