I'm sure you'll get better responses from the western MD birders who 
actually live there, but in the meantime I'd like to suggest the Western 
Maryland Birding website. There are brief site guides for Allegany and 
Garrett birding locales posted there. Info includes site map, GPS, and 
some bird species of note for each locale.
