Black-necked Stilts in Worcester County, 06/05

Yesterday, me and my brother Mike found two BLACK-NECKED STILTS at Truitts Landing in Worcester County. The birds were on the left side of the road, not too far from where the woods end and the marsh begins.

This isn't a common bird in Worcester and Matt Hafner commented that he's thought they would be the next breeders in the county for the last 10 years. Finding two birds on June 5 in appropriate breeding habitat makes you wonder if these birds are nesting or about to nest.
