Partly to mostly cloudy with thunderstorms in the wider area; 77-85
degrees; good visibility; winds from the WSW, becoming W, 8-14 mph, gusting
to 29 mph
Raptor Observations:
Several days of observation with few migrant raptors turned for the better
today when the fifth Mississippi Kite of the season flew in at 12:55 pm,
daylight time. Brief look but it appeared to be an adult. A Fish Crow
came off its nest to harass it.

Site Description:
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at
the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best
winds are from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays. |
