For the past 3-4 years I have known Wood Thrush to breed in Dumbarton Oaks Park in Georgetown. First I saw one nesting pair, then over the past couple years have heard at least 2-3 singing birds in different areas of the park. I hope this means the official DC bird is reclaiming some territory.
Maybe they were breeding before, but I'd only hear them (one?) briefly, during what I assumed was migration until Dave Mozurkewich's recent post.
Finally, thanks for the ebird reminders - I haven't been using it regularly, and it helps to be reminded of the value of a more comprehensive list as opposed to my self-interested little records.
