I had a couple of brief and distant views of the Gray Kingbird from the lawn near the picnic area [with 10x bins] at Fort McHenry this morning. I was not 100% sure until I was able to compare the Gray to an Eastern Kingbird that perched in the same area shortly after Gray moved.

It’s a long shot — a scope is recommended. I mentioned the sighting to a ranger at the gate when I left at 8:15. I wanted to post earlier; but ran into a hot project when I arrived at work.

Standing at the top of the hill near the last picnic table offers the best view of the trees along the main trail and near the Fort McHenry Tunnel ventilation building were it was perched. Please refrain from entering the maintenance yard unless a Fort volunteer is with you and/or you know that wetland gate is open.
