While driving my son to soccer practice, I saw six Cattle Egrets in the field in the northeast quadrant of the MD 3 and St. Stephens Church Road intersection.  The field had been recently cut and the egrets were apparently attracted to whatever insects had been stirred up.  This particular field has had large numbers of Cattle Egrets in the past, but this is the first that I've seen them this year.
