Queen Annes County Lister Trip MOS Convention highlights 6 - 12 - 10 Highlights

        Three birders Kathy C. Dave M. and  Dave W. Joined  Trip Leader Danny Poet  for the Queen Annes County Lister's trip as part of the this  past weekends MOS convention   on Saturday 6 - 12  90 species were seen or heard .  We started up around Unicorn Lake in Northern Queen Annes County  working our way down to   to Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center and Kent Narrows  We had a great Day  and I could not not have had a better group of folks to spend the day with . Some of the highlights were  

Black - Crowned Night -Heron     1 Kent Narrows
Wood Duck  1 CBEC
Bald Eagle  several places 
Osprey    many 
Virginia Rail     3       Seen      Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center  CBEC   Marsh near 
                                          Tower  overlooking  Kent Narrows 
                                         
Killdeer    1    Ingleside  only Shorebird
Laughing Gull    Kent Narrows 
Fosters Tern  Kent Narrows
Least Tern  3  Centreville 
Acadian Flycatcher       many  in a number of places 
Eastern Phoebe     1       Queen Annes County side of the Lake at Tuckahoe State Park 
Warbling  Vireo       Q.A. Side of the lake  Tuckahoe State Park 
Marsh Wren     1 singing   Island Creek Road  south west of Church Hill 
Blue- Gray Gnatcatcher  1   Glanding Road near Unicorn Lake 
Cedar Waxwing   Unicorn Lake 
Kentucky Warbler  1  heard only   Blanco Road   due east of Unicorn Lake 
Seaside Sparrow   1  seen and heard  along the  lane  into CBEC 
Eastern Meadowlark     1    Near Barclay
Orchard Oriole   Q.A. side of lake Tuckahoe State park 
Baltimore  Oriole    "      "    as above
