I spent a few hours this morning doing the Chesapeake Bay Critical Area Tour. This is a 4 mile route from Selby's Landing to Merkle Wildlife Sanctuary. The driving section is only open on Sundays from 10 - 4. The highlights were seeing our National bird and also seeing the bird that Ben Franklin wanted to be the National bird. Yellow-throated Warbler was my real target and I saw them at Stop #2 - Aviation History and also Stop #8 - The Observation Tower. A possible Kentucky Warbler was 1/4 mile from Selby's Landing and after Stop #4 - Bluebirds. The complete lists are below.
