The 2010 Howard County Dragonfly Count was held on June 5. I've

In spite of cloudy weather in the morning and spitting rain in the 
afternoon, the count was marvelously successful. Thirty people 
participated, and we found an all-time high of 52 species.

It's great to have so many people coming out to count. Every year at 
least half of our participants are birders who are expanding their 
interests. As we know from doing bird counts, every pair of eyes 
helps. Thank you to all those who participated.
