When I was at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival on Sunday I observed Barn Swallows in the large Pan Asian tent. They seemed to be nesting in it. From my vantage point way in the back I saw a swallow fly in and rest up in the top front. A pair took turns sitting in that spot. They must have built a nest where two bars adjoin.
It's a shame that the tent will be taken down soon, or perhaps it's been taken down already.
