The Common Moorhen continues at Schoolhouse Pond in Upper Marlboro. As before, the bird was towards the back of the pond in the vegetation with the Wood Ducks (best viewed from the rear platform). Other birds included an Osprey, Great-crested Flycatcher, Indigo Bunting, singing House Wren, Double-crested Cormorant, and 2 Bank Swallows with the more usual Barn and Tree Swallows. Yesterday (7/13), I had my first flyover group of 10 Laughing Gulls for the fall.
