There was another juvenile White Ibis, in Anne Arundel, that I didn't publicize
due to access limitations. But, a colleague was canoeing up Muddy Creek, off
of the Rhode River on Smithsonian property (Edgewater) and photographed the bird
on July 17. Attempts to relocate it failed. However, in light of the current
invasion, I thought it might be good to let people know that there was another
bird involved. Perhaps it relocated to Patterson Park!

Please send some to Calvert and St. Mary's.

I am writing this report on behalf of my colleague Melissa Dietz who works
as an educator at Patterson Park Audubon Center. On Saturday, July 24 she
observed an immature WHITE IBIS at the lake in Patterson Park. It seems
there is an invasion of sorts for this species happening right now with
birds in Washington, Montgomery, and now Baltimore City.
