While crossing the Key Bridge on the way to work this morning, two Peregrines - an adult and an immature - flew out from under the bridge and then flew parallel to the bridge, at eye level. The immature was flying about 50 feet ahead of the adult. I was in the outside lane of the bridge and for a little while, the adult was directly to my right, about 30 feeet away at eye level. Though I cross the bridge every day, this is the first time I have seen them. A nice start to the work day.
For those inclined to look for them, Fort Armistead at the west end of the brdige could provide a good publically accessible vantage point.
