At 6 pm 7 white phase little blue herons were browsing with several great egrets. Several great blue and green herons were also present.

A female ruby-throated hummingbird was feeding on cardinal flowers while a hummingbird mimic (Hemaris thysbe) fed nearby on marsh mallow.

Two prothonotary warblers appeared to pose for pictures at sunset.
